SpeakyHome Damage Protection Plan
1. Optional Protection Plan
SpeakyHome may offer customers an optional Damage Protection Plan at the time of booking. Customers may choose to purchase the plan by paying the applicable additional fee displayed during checkout.
2. Coverage Limit
Customers who successfully purchase the plan may be eligible for protection against qualifying accidental property damage occurring during the booked service, up to a maximum of ₹10,000 per eligible booking, subject to the plan's coverage conditions, exclusions and claim verification process.
The maximum coverage limit does not guarantee payment of ₹10,000 for every claim. Any approved benefit will be based on the verified loss and the applicable plan terms.
3. Customers Who Do Not Purchase the Plan
Customers who choose not to purchase the Damage Protection Plan will not be eligible for benefits available specifically under this optional plan.
However, not purchasing the plan does not waive or restrict any legal rights or remedies the customer may have against SpeakyHome or a service provider under applicable law, including in cases involving established negligence or other legally actionable conduct.
4. Reporting and Verification of Damage
Customers should report an alleged incident as soon as reasonably possible, providing the booking ID, incident details, photographs or videos where available, and supporting documents reasonably required to assess the claim.
SpeakyHome may review service records, pre-service photographs, statements from the customer and service personnel, repair estimates and other relevant evidence. An inspection may be arranged where reasonably necessary.
5. Assessment and Settlement
A claim will be assessed individually. Relevant factors may include the cause of damage, the property's pre-existing condition, the scope of the booked service and the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
Where a claim qualifies under the plan, the approved benefit may be provided through repair, replacement or monetary reimbursement, as specified in the applicable plan terms.
6. Exclusions
The plan may exclude pre-existing damage, ordinary wear and tear, unrelated incidents, intentional damage, fraudulent claims and other clearly disclosed exclusions. Exclusions will not override any liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Plan Fee and Confirmation
The applicable plan fee, coverage limit, claim process, exclusions and other material conditions will be disclosed before the customer purchases the plan. Coverage will begin only after successful purchase confirmation and will apply according to the disclosed plan terms.
8. Fraud Prevention and Legal Rights
SpeakyHome may investigate suspected fraudulent, duplicate or misleading claims and request reasonable supporting evidence. Claims will be decided fairly on the available facts.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any obligation, liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
